With the last day of February 2020 came the completion of the three-month trial operation of the entire electronic toll system in the Czech Republic. Built by the consortium of SkyToll, a.s. and CzechToll s.r.o. in just over a year, the new system has the Billien 5 information system from TollNet a.s. \u2013 the consortium\u2019s main subcontractor – at its core.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the pilot and trial operation period, the Billien 5 information system performed all its functions under standard operating conditions. It easily passed the stage of customer pre-registration before the launch of the entire new electronic toll system. It successfully managed the high-load period that immediately followed its launch in the pre-Christmas period of 2019, and became fully operational during the early months of 2020. The Road and Motorway Directorate of the Czech Republic has subsequently confirmed the successful completion of the trial operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deployment of the new electronic toll system in the Czech Republic is the second successful toll project of national importance for the Billien 5 product following the rollout in the Slovak Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
